All of our cats that live with us are considered a member of the family, they have free access to the house and grow up together with children and other animals. Together with my husband and our three children, we strive to breed safe, healthy and breed-typical cats. All our cats are health tested according to Pawped's Maine Coon health program, and I, who run Teldrassil's, am a certified breeder through Sverak and have completed breeder training. Her coming to us felt a bit "meant to be" as she was the only kitten left in a litter of four. I immediately felt that she was a keeper and had the look that I was looking for in my first breeding female. Good proportions, nice box and black smoke which is a weakness of mine. I didn't think she would be around, but two weeks later we made a 7 hour trip to pick her up.

Nyfiken på hur Teldrassils´s startades och vilka vi är? Läs mer om Teldrassil´s här! About us My name is Therese, who runs Teldrassil's cat breeding. My husband, I, our three daughters and of course our four-legged family members live in a quiet residential area just outside Gävle. Close to lots of green areas and nature. I have always had a great interest in animals. In high school I studied animal care and my dream was to become a veterinarian. But the dream was replaced over time with another big dream, to become a midwife. Being able to combine two of the things I am very passionate about, maternity care and cats, is the reason why Teldrassil's was started in 2025. So why the Maine Coon? My husband and I bought our first cat together in 2010. A cream-colored, beautiful and incredibly cozy farm cat named August. He has little tufts on his ears, a lovely fluffy mane and is incredibly cuddly. We heard from his breeder that his father was a Maine Coon and became curious about the breed. Then we were hooked! In 2023, our fantastic Maine Coon female SE*Ellaskustkatt Ferocia moved into our home, and everyone in the family immediately fell in love with her. Cirilla (Ciri) as she is called to us, has a fantastic temperament, is playful and social. But at the same time a harmonious and safe cat who loves to cuddle. Our cats are part of the family and have free access to the house, as well as the opportunity for limited outdoor time. They are always where we and the children are, and always welcome us home with a Maine Coon's characteristic voice. Maine Coon is a fantastic breed, unique and with little quirks that are impossible not to fall in love with. They are not called "The gentle giant" for no reason. A large cat breed that may look tough, but are real cuddly cats that love to cuddle and want to be with you wherever it happens. The dream of raising cats has been in the back of my mind for as long as I can remember. I've had my tribal name ready for a long time, studied, gained knowledge, took courses and studied some more. But put it off for many years, as education, work and family took up most of my time. Finally I felt ready and got Teldrassil's registered as a pedigree name and we welcomed our first breeding female in 2025 SE*Crazy Angels Mimmi, or Elune as she was called here at home. Breeding and breeding work For me, it is important to have knowledge and to constantly update myself. That is why I have completed the cat breeder training uppfodaretatan through SVERAK and Pawped's first training. I am very careful about choosing which cats go into breeding, as my main focus in my breeding is that the cat has a pleasant temperament and is healthy. I health test all breeding animals according to Pawped's Maine Coon health program, which means that all cats that are bred undergo a heart ultrasound annually and undergo an X-ray examination of the hips. We want safe, social and healthy cats. I love fantasy with elves, dragons and monsters in all its forms, and above all I am extra passionate about my great fantasy universe World Of Warcraft! Teldrassil is the great tree of life in the game, just like Yggdrasil is the tree of life in Norse mythology. All kittens in my litters will have a name inspired by World Of Warcraft. But I have another great passion in life, my profession as a midwife. Being able to assist during a birth is one of the most wonderful things there is. The placenta, or the tree of life as it is called, has a great importance when it comes to the creation of a new life. As a cat breeder, I choose to take on a great responsibility for several small lives, and what could be more fitting than the very symbol of fertility and birth. The tree of life! Buying a cat is a big responsibility, so think through your decision carefully. They will require a lot of time, commitment and love. A cat can live up to 20 years, so before you decide, think through the questions of whether you have the time required and the financial conditions needed to be able to give your cat everything it needs during its life. Buying a kitten from us When a litter is born, we want to evaluate the kittens ourselves for a while. It will therefore not be possible to reserve a specific kitten from the start. However, you are welcome to show interest and contact us here or on social media if you are interested in purchasing a kitten. It is important to us that the kitten goes to the right buyer and to the right home. We will therefore not have a queue system. We would like to get to know you, and would prefer that you come to visit if possible. Tell us about yourself, and what you will be able to offer a kitten. Visits can only take place when the kitten is 8-10 weeks old and has had its first vaccination. To book a kitten, we take a down payment of 15% of the price and we also sign an agreement from Sverak. As a buyer, you will always receive support from us. Should something happen that means you will not be able to keep the kitten, we would appreciate it if you would contact us first. We are always here to support, answer questions and help if problems arise. Your kitten when moving Will be at least 14 weeks old when moving Microchip marked (we require that your cat be registered with the Swedish Board of Agriculture) Vaccinated twice Veterinary inspection upon delivery (maximum seven-day old certificate) Studbook registered with pedigree via SVERAK Insured with hidden defects Socialized, used to children and other animals Starter kit for the kitten Worm and parasite free Lifelong support! Other things about your kitten The kitten must have valid insurance upon delivery. Our cats are insured through Lassie, which can be taken over when you pick up your kitten if desired. We prefer that our kittens come to a home that can offer the opportunity for limited outdoor time, in a play yard, fenced-in balcony, walking in a harness or similar. All our breeding animals have undergone health tests before breeding. We health test according to Pawped's Maine Coon health program and DNA test our breeding cats. HCM screening (heart) and HD x-rays (hips). We only sell cats that are to be used for breeding to registered breeders.
